Topological insulators are a new class of materials with intriguing properties. They are characterised by an insulating bulk, but also surface gapless (conducting) states protected by time-reversal symmetry, which prevents back-scattering on defects.
The potential applications of topological insulators include spintronics, quantum computing, low-power electronics and optoelectronics.
Our highly crystalline topological insulators are grown by the Bridgeman-Stockbarger method and come in a variety of sizes and shapes. We can offer customized stoichiometry by doping, as well as growth of entire ingots.
